Vacations With Dogs – A Home for Two- and Four-Legged

Dogs are warmly welcome at Hotel Alpenrose in the Montafon. We are dog lovers and owners ourselves, and we know there is nothing better than sharing your vacation with your four-legged companion, in summer or in winter.

To make your stay in Vorarlberg extra special, your dog will receive a small welcome treat at check-in along with an info sheet full of helpful suggestions, excursion tips, and walking routes. The many trails around the hotel are ideal for dog owners, and we are happy to give you personalized advice.

After check-in, a cozy blanket is waiting in your room so your dog can settle right in. Want to bring your dog to the restaurant? Just let us know in advance.

We charge 18 euros per night as a dog accommodation fee (without food). Please let us know at the time of booking or inquiry if you are bringing your dog with you on vacation to the Montafon.

If you want to head up the mountains together, your dog can ride the cable cars with you, no muzzle required. And if you feel like an activity without your furry friend, we are happy to arrange a dog sitter so you can enjoy the mountains in summer or winter while your dog is well cared for.

Good to Know

When entering Vorarlberg (Austria) with a dog, please note the following requirements:
•    An EU Pet Passport, valid rabies vaccination, and registration via microchip (or tattoo) are mandatory.
•    Puppies under 12 weeks are subject to special regulations.
•    For highway travel in Austria, a toll sticker (“Vignette”) is required, available at any gas station.

In Austrian public transportation, dogs are required to wear a muzzle.
