Many of our guests come to us for one reason only: the mountains and hiking. And we totally understand. After all, we are a true hiker’s paradise in the Vorarlberg Alps. There’s something for everyone. From a leisurely hike up to the Wormser Hütte with a rustic stop along the way to daring climbing trails for real cliffhangers with breathtaking views. We could write for hours about hiking here – but we’d rather let pictures speak for themselves and are happy to advise you personally on the most beautiful hikes in the region.

Leaving the village of Silbertal, you follow the “Wilde Litz” river through the romantic alpine landscape of Silbertal. After about an hour of easy walking and breathtaking nature, you’ll reach our Fellimännle alpine hut, where you can enjoy the outstanding Kaiserschmarren prepared by our head chef Lukas in an unforgettable atmosphere.

Exploring Montafon by E-Bike.

From the hotel, countless biking tours are waiting to be discovered – whether by mountain bike or E-bike. Fancy a little taste?

Bike tour “Montafon’s Sun Balcony”

This 45 km tour with 1,200 metres of elevation has everything to make a biker’s heart beat faster. Starting gently along the Ill river, it climbs from St. Anton via Bartholomäberg to the idyllic Fritzensee. Rolling up and down towards the Wasserstubental, you’ll enjoy fantastic Kristberg views. The last stretch takes you through Silbertal back to your starting point.

Golm Adventure Mountain.

In addition to countless hiking trails, Golm offers one thing above all: adventures for young and old. Start with the forest slide park, where 7 different slides shorten the descent from Matschwitz to Latschau. At the Latschau reservoir, the forest rope park invites you to try out various climbing routes. The highlight: the 565-metre-long Flying Fox zipline across the lake. And to round off the day perfectly, hop on the all-weather Alpine Coaster, racing 2,400 metres down into Vandans at up to 40 km/h. A day you won’t forget.

Golfing in Montafon.

Whether you’re a passionate golfer or just starting out – the Montafon golf course is located close to Hotel Alpenrose. From simple green fees to beginner courses or handicap training, this attractive 9-hole course has everything a golfer’s heart desires.

High up on the Silvretta High Alpine Road.

Stretching for 22.3 km, with 34 bends and a pass height of 2,032 metres, the Silvretta High Alpine Road winds its way from Partenen in Montafon to Galtür in the Paznaun Valley (Tyrol). The spectacular mountain scenery and the Vermunt and Silvretta lakes right by the roadside attract motorcyclists, drivers and cyclists alike. But even without a vehicle, there are many ways to enjoy this alpine highlight.
